DESCRIPTION:The new service that ALS Malta+ is working on is; DAR Bjorn Respite. This will be an extension of DAR Bjorn Żebbuġ where patients will receive care and help for a defined number of days. Despite the small geography that Malta has\, there are still patients that require such services.  \nALS Malta+ will be producing another telethon so that this extension can become a reality; DAR Bjorn Respite. The telethon will be held on Sunday\, 25th September on local television stations.  \nThis will all be possible\, thanks to all Maltese that donated in previous years and will continue to support Bjorn and ALS Malta+. DESCRIPTION:It’s been 6 years since Bjorn Formosa started ALS Malta. Throughout these years he worked tirelessly to help patients like him live a better life. In 2017\, The first DAR Bjorn in Qormi was inaugurated\, yet it was too small to cater all neurological patients in Malta. \nTogether with his team\, Bjorn in 2018 embarked on a journey to open the second neurological home that will cater much more patients. The Newer & Bigger DAR Bjorn will be a top of the notch medical facility in Zebbug\, Malta. It will be plotted on 7 floors\, each totalling more than 650sqm of living space. \nThe new facility will feature; \n\n30+ beds\,\nan indoor pool\,\ngymnasium\,\nchapel\,\nshop\,\ncafeteria\,\nclinics\,\nart gallery\nfully fledged terrace.\n\nDAR Bjorn is a €5 million project. €4 million have already been collected in three years and a further €926K is needed to open this project. \nOn Sunday\, 26th September 2021 Bjorn is inviting you to join us during a 12-hr LIVE telethon.
